CHICAGO — Five Chicago police officers were sent to hospitals Thursday evening after two Chicago police vehicles collided in West Englewood.

Around 7:12 p.m., a marked squad car was traveling eastbound in the 6300 block of South Racine Avenue, when it collided with an unmarked police vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The marked squad car struck a Cadillac traveling northbound on Racine.

The driver and sole occupant of the Cadillac declined medical treatment. The five police officers were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
