CHICAGO — A child and a teen were stuck in a crosswalk Friday morning in a hit-and-run crash in the West Englewood neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Around 7:42 a.m., a 15-year- old girl and a 6-year-old girl were in the crosswalk in the 1700 block of 69th Street, when they were both struck by a white SUV. Police said the driver of the SUV did not stop,

The 6-year-old girl suffered multiple injuries and was transported to Comer Chidren’s Hospital in critical condition. The 15-year-old girl, also taken t Cimerm is i serious condition for abrasions,

Police said the white SUV fled the scene, continuing westbound. No other injuries of nearby pedestrians were report. The CPD Major Accidents Investigan Unit in investigating.
