8-Year-Old Girl, 2 Adults Wounded In Shooting At Bronzeville Shopping Center

Three people, including an 8-year-old girl, were wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon at a shopping center in the Bronzeville neighborhood.

Police said that, around 4:45 p.m., a dark-colored SUV pulled up to the victims at the Lake Meadows Shopping Center in the 3400 block of South King Drive, and started shooting.

An 8-year-old girl was shot in the foot, and was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in good condition. A 24-year-old man was shot in the arm, chest, and groin, and was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition. A 28-year-old woman was shot in the knee and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.
