BGA Hosts South Side Citizen Watchdog Training

If your local elected officials aren't passing the smell test, then sign up for BGA's Citizen Watchdog Training on Jan. 25.

CHICAGO, IL -- Does your local municipality, township, school or park board pass the smell test? If they don’t, sign up for the Better Government Association’s Citizen Watchdog training. BGA is hosting a South Side session on Jan. 25 at Experimental Station, 6100 S. Blackstone in Chicago. The two-hour session runs from 6 to 8 p.m.

BGA Watchdog Training teaches citizens how to keep an eye on local government and find out what’s happening in their communities. In this training, experts will help citizens understand the inner workings of government, the Open Meetings Act and the Freedom of Information Act.

The training is being held in collaboration with City Bureau. It is free and open to the public, but space is limited so register now. If you feel like you’re being flim-flammed by your local elected officials, BGA’s Watchdog Training will have you flim-flamming them back like a pro.
