Body of Man With Cord Around Neck Found In Ford City Parking Lot

The death is being investigated as a homicide, Chicago police said.

CHICAGO — The body of a man was found in the parking lot at Ford City Shopping Center with a cord wrapped around his neck early Wednesday morning in what Chicago police describe as a “gruesome” attack.

The unidentified man is said to be between 40 and 50 years old, was found unresponsive around 5:40 a.m. in the 4330 block of Ford City. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Area One detectives are investigating the death as a homicide.
