Career Launch Offers Job Readiness Training For Young Adults
Cook County's Career Launch program is accepting applications for job readiness training for young adults who are not working or in school.

COOK COUNTY, IL -- Cook County’s Career Launch program is accepting applications from young people between the ages of 18 and 24 to apply for job readiness training. The program has slots for 150 trainees. All participants will be paid a stipend.
Career Launch is administered by the Justice Advisory Council. The program starts on July 9 and is aimed at young people who are not in school or working. Career Launch provides six weeks of job readiness training. Prior involvement with the criminal justice system is NOT a barrier to participation.
After completing the six weeks participants are eligible for additional training or job placement in employment fields that are high growth, including healthcare, transportation, hospitality and manufacturing. These fields are also open to individuals who may have a criminal background.
