Concealed Carry Holder Accidentally Shot Himself In Leg
A 39-year-old man was wounded when the gun he was carrying went off while he was walking near 47th and Ashland.

CHICAGO - A 39-year-old man was in stable condition Friday at the University of Chicago Medical Center after police say a loaded handgun he was carrying inside his pocket discharged a bullet that struck him in the leg. The man was walking near 47th and Ashland in the Back of the Yards neighborhood around 10 p.m. Friday night when this occurred, according to police.
No charges will be filed because the man has a valid FOID card and a Concealed Carry License.
