Chicago White Sox pitcher Danny Farquhar thanks the team, doctors and fans in Instagram post.

CHICAGO, IL - Danny Farquhar, the Chicago White Sox relief pitcher who suffered a brain hemorrhage from a ruptured aneurysm during a game on April 20, has made his first public statements since his release from Rush University Hospital earlier this week. Farquhar posted on Instagram Thursday, thanking everyone from the team doctors to his fans.
"Overwhelmed with the love and support that was shown to me and my family these past few weeks," wrote Farquhar, an MLB pitcher since 2008. "Thank you to the @whitesox, White Sox Fans and RUSH University Hospital.
"My wife and I are blessed to have an incredible support system with both our families. I am home and healing and can’t wait to be back on the mound!"
