Dead Body Found In Shopping Cart Pushed By Elderly Woman
A shopping cart pushed by an elderly woman in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood had a dead body inside, police said.
CHICAGO, IL - An elderly woman was found by police pushing a shopping cart with a dead body inside of it on Saturday night. Chicago police say they responded to the 300 block of East 87th Street and around the corner in the 8600 block of South Calumet Ave. in the city's Chatham neighborhood at 7:53 p.m.
They arrived after a request for a well being check and found the woman pushing the cart that held the body of a black woman. Police initially said the body was that of a man's.
The victim was not immediately identified by police or the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
