Fire Causes Building To Collapse On South Side

A vacant building at 77th and Lowe suffered a "complete collapse" early Monday morning.

CHICAGO, IL - A building that caught fire in Chicago's Gresham neighborhood completely collapsed overnight.

Firefighters responded to a still and box alarm at a vacant building in the neighborhood at 77th and Lowe around 3:30 a.m. and used six hose lines to put it out.

A tweet from the Chicago Fire Department indicates the building suffered a "complete collapse." There were no injuries.
