Man, 28, Fatally Shot Answering Door In Greater Grand Crossing
Chicago police said the shooter was known to the 28-year-old man, who was fatally shot through the door.

CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man was fatally shot answering a knock on the door Thursday evening on the South Side.
The shooting happened in the 200 block of 69th Place in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood. Just before 9:50 p.m. a man known to the 28-year-old knocked on his door in the in Greater Grand Crossing .
Chicago police said the acquaintance fired multiple rounds through the door, shooting the 28-year-old man in the chest. He was taken in critical condition to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he died a short time later.
