Man In Custody Who Fake Fell On 6-Year-Old, Then Molested Her In Front Of Mom: Police
James Spencer, 41, was apprehended Wednesday on his street after security camera images were released to the public, Chicago police said.

CHICAGO—A Chicago man suspected of sexually assaulting a 6-year-old girl on the sidewalk in front of her mother was taken into custody on Wednesday.
James Spencer, 41, will appear Thursday for a pre-detention hearing at the Leighton Criminal Courthouse. He is charged with aggravated criminal sex assault of a victim under 13. He was taken into custody in the 6600 block of South Perry.
Earlier this week, Chicago police released images of a man, later identified as Spencer, who was walking down the sidewalk when he pretended to fall on a 6-year-old and used her to brace himself. Spencer is then alleged to have sexually assaulted the child with his bare hands. Police said the child was with her mother when the incident occurred.
