Stray Bullet From Street Hits Man Sitting In Living Room In Ashburn

The bullet pierced the window of the residence, striking the man in the leg, Chicago police said.

CHICAGO — A 46-year-old man was struck by errant gunfire that came from outside while sitting in his living room in Chicago’s Ashburn neighborhood, police said.

Just before 5 p.m. Saturday, the man was sitting inside his residence in the 7700 block of South Homan Avenue, when a bullet pierced his window. The man suffered a gunshot wound to his leg.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he is listed in good condition.

No one is in custody. CPD Area 2 detectives are investigating.
