A man and a woman were shot and wounded Wednesday afternoon while in a car in Chicago's Auburn Gresham neighborhood, just steps from St. Sabina Parish.

The shooting happened at 1:25 p.m. in the 7900 block of South May Street, police said.
Police said a 26-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man were in a car on the block when they were both shot.
