Memorial Fund Set Up for Family of CFD Diver Juan Bucio
EMWQ Widows' and Children's Assistance Fund sets up a fund to provide assistance for the young sons of fallen CFD Diver Juan Bucio.

CHICAGO, IL -- The Ende, Menzer, Walsh & Quinn Retirees', Widows' and Children’s Assistance Fund has set up a fund for the family of CFD firefighter and diver Juan Bucio. Bucio died Monday while searching for a missing boater in the south branch of the Chicago River. The fund provides immediate cash assistance to the children of fallen active members of the Chicago Fire Department, who pass away in the line of duty or off duty. 100 percent of proceeds will go to Bucio’s sons.
Bucio is survived by his nine siblings, including a sister who is a member of the Chicago Police Department, and a brother who is a member of the Chicago Fire Department. He leaves behind two sons, Joshua, 10, and Jacob, 9. Visitation and funeral services for Bucio will take place June 3 and June 4, respectively, at St. Rita of Cascia High School, 7740 S Western Ave, Chicago.
EMWQ relies entirely on donations from the community. The public can go to Widows and Children to make donations to the Juan Bucio Memorial Fund via PayPal. Donations can also be made to any BMO Harris branch or through the mail at EMWQ, Juan Bucio Memorial Fund, 20 S. Clark Suite 1400, Chicago, Illinois 60603. Checks should be made out to EMWQ Juan Bucio Memorial Fund.
