Minivan Sought In Hit-And-Run That Killed Woman In Englewood

CHICAGO, IL - A 52-year-old woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver who also caused life-threatening injuries to a 19-year-old man when a minivan hit the two people on the sidewalk in the 5600 block of South Racine Avenue in Englewood Thursday morning. Police are searching for the car, which they say is possibly a Dodge Caravan with extensive damage to its driver's side due to the impact.

The driver of the car fled the scene after striking the two pedestrians at 11:18 a.m., police said. A surveillance image from an unknown location was shared in hopes of identifying the driver.

The fatal victim has been identified as Connie Mangrum, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
