Severed Human Head in Bag Pulled Out of McKinley Park Lagoon: Cops
The gruesome discovery was made by a Chicago Park District crew that was cleaning the lagoon Friday morning.

CHICAGO, IL — A bag that possibly contained a severed human head was found by a city employee Friday morning in the McKinley Park Lagoon, the Chicago Tribune reports.
A Chicago Park District worker called police to the lagoon, 2210 W. Pershinig Road, at around 10 a.m. to report finding what were thought to be human remains in the water, the report stated. A park district crew was giving the lagoon its weekly cleaning when the bag was found, the report added.
Police have not released complete details of what was found in the bag, and they have not yet been able to determine if the head was that of a man or a woman, according to the report.

Detectives are currently running a death investigation based on the discovery, the report added.
