South Side Man Who Pointed Gun at Cops Charged: Police
Police say they fired shots back at Paul Kevin Rivers, but missed.

CHICAGO, IL - Police have charged a 26-year-old Chicago Lawn man who they say pointed a gun at police Sunday afternoon.
Police fired shots at Paul Kevin Rivers, 26, of the 6600 block of S. Wolcott Ave., during the confrontation but missed, according to police.
Police say they heard shots being fired at 3:13 p.m. near 58th and Maplewood. When they approached, Rivers allegedly fled, initiating a foot pursuit and pointed a weapon at police.

An officer, in fear for his life, fired back but Rivers was not hit.
He was captured and charged with felony charges including a felony count of aggravated assault of a peace officer with a weapon.
