Teacher Accused Of Having Sexual Relationship With Student
A female teacher at Horizon Science Academy in Gage Park is under investigation.
CHICAGO, IL - A teacher at a charter high school in Gage Park has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a student. Chicago police continue to investigate the sexual assault allegations against a female teacher and her relationship with a male student at Horizon Science Academy - Southwest Chicago at 54th and Western, CBS-Chicago reports. The teacher resigned on Friday.
The investigation began after the student told his parents about the relationship and the parents contacted the school. A school administrator told CBS in an email that the teacher in question has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
The teacher has since resigned, the Chicago Sun-Times has reported.
