CHICAGO — Chicago police are requesting the pubic’s help is requested in identifying the driver of an SUV that struck a teen on a motorized scooter early Wednesday morning on the South Side.

The teen was in the roadway on a motorized scooter in the 3900 block of West 68th Street in the city’s Marqutte Park neighborhood, when Chicago police said a black SUV struck the teen. The teen was left critically injured and hospitalized.

Police described the vehicle as a black, 2018 GMC Arcadia SUV. The vehicle had an Illinois license plate "AV51401."
