CHICAGO, IL -- A pedestrian is in critical condition following a hit-and-run accident on Thursday. Chicago police are asking for the public’s help in finding the driver of a Dodge Journey SUV.

Around 2 p.m. April 5, a 61-year-old woman was crossing in the crosswalk on the 1200 block of South Central Park Avenue. The woman was critically injured and remains hospitalized. The vehicle is described as a red/maroon Dodge Journey SUV.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or who witnessed the accident is asked to call CPD’s Major Accident Investigation Unit at 312-745-4521. Reference RD#JC-553004.
