Patch talked to wet fans Monday before Chicago's 1st game of the 2017 season. Unfortunately, it was postponed after a nearly 2-hour delay.
CHICAGO, IL — Die-hard fans of the Chicago White Sox came out to support the team before they took the field for the first time in 2017 on Monday afternoon.
Even steady showers couldn't kep the faithful from gathering outside newly named Guaranteed Rate Field to tailgate or enjoy a quick game of cornhole before the White Sox and the Detroit Tigers take the field for the first game of the season.
Unfortunately, rain proved to be too tough an opponent Monday for both the White Sox and the Tigers. The game was postponed after a nearly two-hour rain delay. It's been rescheduled for 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, April 4.
