Which South Side Streets Will Be Paved In 2018?
A number of streets on the South Side of Chicago will be resurfaced in 2018. Find out which ones here.

CHICAGO, IL - A number of roads on the South Side will be resurfaced in 2018. The Chicago Department of Transportation and the Department of Water Management, the two city departments that head roadway resurfacing efforts in Chicago, have identified the first 135 miles of streets that will be resurfaced this year according to a news release shared this week by Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
“Through spring, summer and fall we will build on our progress paving and patching streets in neighborhoods across Chicago,” Emanuel said. “Our residents and businesses depend on the reliability of our roads, and we will continue to build on our momentum by resurfacing and repairing more residential streets and alleyways throughout Chicago.”
The following South Side streets are slated to be paved this year, beginning as early as mid-April.

CDOT and the DWM have a goal of repaving at least 275 miles of roadway in the city this year, Emanuel said.
