Woman Found Shot To Death Near Cicero Avenue Motel On Southwest Side

A witness told Chicago police that the woman was involved in a verbal altercation with another man when he shot her and fled.

CHICAGO — A woman was found shot to death near a Southwest Side motel late Thursday evening, Chicago police said.

The woman, who appeared to be in her early thirties, was found in the 7700 block of South Cicero, with gunshot wounds to her neck and back. She was rushed to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she was pronounced dead.

A witness told police that the woman was in a verbal altercation with a man, who produced a gun and shot her before fleeing. It is unknown if the woman or suspect were guests at the motel.
