Women Attacked From Behind And Groped In South Shore
Chicago police alert South Shore residents about two separate incidents in which women were sexually assaulted on June 13 and June 15.

CHICAGO—Chicago police are alerting South Shore residents about a pair of sexual assault/abuse incidents that occurred in the 4th (South Chicago) Police District.
The women were alone when they were attacked from behind and groped by their assailant. Chicago police said the first attack occurred just after 6 a.m. on the 3100 block of E. 79th St. The suspect is alleged to have thrown the woman to the ground and then sexually assaulted her.
The second incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. June 15 near 77th Street and South Shore Drive. Police said the woman was able to flee after struggling with the assailant.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 30 to 40 years old, between 5'8" and 6'0", medium weight, medium complexion, and short hair.
