4. Springfield Memorial Hospital to offer free mammograms during October (illinoistimes.com) — Springfield Memorial Hospital is offering free mammograms throughout October for uninsured or underinsured women 40 and older, funded by the Springfield Memorial Foundation. With appointments required at the Baylis Medical Building, the program aims to boost early breast cancer detection for Springfield-area residents as part of Memorial Health's Mammogram Mondays initiative.
