Erika Harold Wins Republican Illinois Attorney General Nomination
Erika Harold defeated Gary Grasso in a 2-way race for the Republican nomination as attorney general.
Erika Harold is the projected winner of the Republican primary for attorney general, defeating Gary Grasso. The former Miss America and congressional candidate declared her candidacy before outgoing Attorney General Lisa Madigan announced she would not be seeking a fifth term in office and received the backing of the Illinois GOP and Gov. Bruce Rauner. Grasso is the former mayor of Burr Ridge and a current member of the DuPage County Board.
ILLINOIS ATTORNEY GENERAL REPUBLICAN PRIMARY:
- Erika Harold – 59.4% (Projected winner)
- Gary Grasso – 40.6%
