IPHA Donates 30,000 Protective Gloves in Coronavirus Battle

The Illinois Public Health Association is stepping up to help fight coronavirus with this generous donation of PPE gloves.

SPRINGFIELD -- With many lives on the line, the Illinois Public Health Association is stepping up to do its part in the fight against coronavirus.

IPHA announced today it is donating 30,000 gloves to statewide healthcare providers, as part of a growing need for PPE (personal protective equipment).

The gloves will be sent to frontline care providers through IPHA's ongoing partnership with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency.

"It is my pleasure to announce this donation of much-needed personal protective equipment to Illinois healthcare providers," said Toni Corona, IPHA President and Public Health Administrator at the Madison County Health Department. "IPHA is delighted to support our colleagues on the frontlines of this fight. Illinois healthcare providers are working tirelessly to battle this pandemic and this donation will assist them with their critical efforts!"
