Leading IL Credit Union Backs Springfield Fight For Air Climb
CEFCU invests in local lung disease prevention, research and support

CEFCU is joining the fight against lung disease by teaming up with the American Lung Association in Illinois. The local credit union has signed on as the presenting sponsor of the Fight For Air Climb on February 25 at Wyndham Springfield City Centre. This sponsorship is an investment of $20,000 in local lung disease prevention, research and support.
“Lung disease impacts more than 1.3 million people in Illinois,” said Maggie Owen, Development Manager of the Lung Association in Illinois. “That’s why CEFCU’s contribution as presenting sponsor is so significant in our community. From funding asthma education, to providing resources to those suffering from lung cancer, this support helps make people’s lives better every day.”
On February 25, thousands of people will take to the stairs in the Fight For Air Climb at Wyndham Springfield City Centre (32 floors and 532 steps) in an effort to raise awareness and money to fight lung disease.
