1 Flighted To Hospital Following St. Charles Crash

ST. CHARLES, IL — A driver was taken by helicopter to a hospital following a two-vehicle collision in St. Charles Tuesday morning, according to authorities.

The collision happened at Kautz Road and Ohio Avenue at about 11:50 a.m. when a glass transport truck collided with the back of a semi-tractor trailer, according to a news release from the St. Charles Police Department.

Both vehicles had been headed south on Kautz Road prior to the crash happening.

The driver of the glass transport truck was extricated and from his vehicle and airlifted from the scene to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital. The driver of the semi was not injured.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
