1 Flown to Hospital After Crash Near St. Charles

The collision happened Thursday afternoon.

KANE COUNTY, IL -- Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Silver Glenn and Stevens roads in unincorporated St Charles Township, police said. One person was taken by helicopter to a hospital for treatment of injuries that are not considered life-threatening. And another person involved in the crash, which happened at about 3:20 p.m., was taken to Delnor — also with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to a Kane County Sheriff’s Office news release.

An initial investigation indicates a Honda Accord was traveling south on Stevens Road and stopped for a stop sign at the intersection with Silver Glenn Road. The Honda entered the intersection and was hit by a Chevy Pickup truck that was traveling west on Silver Glenn Road, according to a news release.

The truck then spun and collided another Honda Accord that was traveling east on Silver Glenn Road. Traffic on Silver Glenn Road does not have to stop at the intersection, police said.
