14 D303 School Board Candidates Vie For Open Seat
The school board must vote on its pick for the open seat by July 18.
From CUSD 303: In response to the District 303 School Board’s request for letters of interest and resumes from community members interested in filling the vacancy created by the resignation of Jim Gaffney, Jr., fourteen letters of intent were submitted prior to the June 26 deadline.
On Thursday, July 5 at 5:30 p.m., School Board members will convene in closed session for the purpose of reviewing letters of interest and resumes submitted by community members. At that time, School Board members will determine what candidates will be brought forward for interviews during open session on Saturday, July 14 beginning at 10:00 a.m. The names of the final candidates will be provided prior to the July 14 meeting.
The School Board must vote on the appointment no later than July 18, 2018. The candidate chosen to fill the vacancy will serve on the School Board until the new School Board is seated after the April 2, 2019 election.
