2020 Kane County Fair Canceled Due To Coronavirus
This year's Kane County Fair has been called off, officials said, calling it "the most difficult, yet most responsible, decision."
ST. CHARLES, IL — This summer’s Kane County Fair has been scrapped by organizers to ensure the health and safety of vendors and guests amid the coronavirus pandemic. Larry Breon, president of the fair’s board of directors, called the cancellation “the most difficult, yet most responsible, decision that had to be made.”
The 2020 Kane County Fair was scheduled to run July 15-19.
“We look forward to the time when health, safety and normal routines will return to our communities, and that we can soon open the Kane County Fairgrounds for the public to enjoy,” Breon said in a statement on the fair’s website. “The Kane County Fair has been an integral part of many peoples lives, and it will be our greatest joy to bring it back in 2021.”
