22 Citations Issued In Thanksgiving Traffic Enforcement

The results are in from the St. Charles Police Department.

ST. CHARLES, IL – The results are in from the St. Charles Police Department’s recent Thanksgiving traffic enforcement effort. Local officers added extra patrols from Nov. 16 to 26. The effort, which is part of the nationwide Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over program, is meant to remind motorists to buckle up and not drive impaired.

During the 10-day mobilization, St. Charles Police issued:

  • 6 seat belt citations
  • 3 uninsured motorists
  • 13 speeding citations

“The annual Click It or Ticket mobilization may be over in St. Charles, but that isn’t an excuse to stop buckling up,” according to a news release from the police department. “Not wearing your seatbelt is a primary offense, meaning law enforcement can stop you and issue a citation for that alone.”
