70 Charges Filed In Kane County Child Porn Case
A former Campton Hills man is accused of recording unauthorized videos of children who were nude or partially clothed.

KANE COUNTY, IL — A former Campton Hills man faces 70 felony charges for allegations he created multiple videos of children who were nude or partially nude, prosecutors said Thursday.
James K. Anderson, of the 1300 block of Spencer Lane in Batavia, is charged with 21 counts of manufacturing child pornography, moving depictions; 24 counts of possessing child pornography, moving depictions; 21 counts of unauthorized video recordings, victim younger than 18; and four counts of possession child pornography, still images.
Bail for Anderson, 74, formerly of Campton Hills, was set at $250,000, according to a news release from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office. Authorities say Anderson manufactured the unauthorized videos recordings of the nude or partially clothed children, who were under 18.

The Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office’s Child Exploitation Unit, Campton Hills Police Department, Kane County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois Attorney General’s Office and the Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force investigated the allegations, according to the news release.
Anderson is next expected in court on Jan. 13.
