ST. CHARLES, IL - A family that runs several restaurants in the suburbs, including Village Squire Restaurants and Rookies All-American Pub and Grill, is planning to open it’s second Alexander’s Cafe in the former Gabby’s Kitchen in St. Charles by early summer, according to the Kane County Chronicle.
Bob Karas told the Kane County Chronicle that the St. Charles’ Alexander’s Cafe at 1650 W. Main Street would differ from the family’s Elgin location in that it would only serve breakfast and lunch. Karas said St. Charles needs more breakfast restaurants and added that the restaurant’s lunch menu would include meatloaf, pot roast and a fish fry on Friday.
