Fundraiser Held for St. Charles East Grad Injured by IED
At the St. Charles McDonald's with St. Charles East HS , a fundraiser for Sgt. Heisey, 24.
On Tues., December 9th, it was all about Sgt. Tyler Heisey at the St. Charles McDonald’s at 1915 W. Main St. The St. Charles East teachers took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to friends and families to help raise money for their 2007 Graduate Sgt. Heisey. Sgt. Heisey, 24 suffered a traumatic brain injury from an improvised explosive device in 2012. A special appearance by the talented McTeacher’s band helped make this event a memorable evening. A special thank you goes to Assistant Principal Lisa Dandre who organized the entire event. The event was courtesy of the McDonald’s owner/operators the Lardas family.
