XD Adventures 9D Virtual Reality Ride Opens at Charlestowne Mall

 A new, interactive "cinema experience" is now available at the Charlestowne Mall.

The Kane County Chronicle reports:

XD Adventures – which bills itself as a 9-D interactive cinema experience – recently opened in the lower level of Charlestowne Mall, across from Charlestowne 18.

Tony Satinsky credited the idea to his father-in-law, Boris Ioffe, who encountered similar rides in Europe.

According to a description from Satinsky, the ride’s “next-generation technology offers moviegoers a remarkably intense experience” that includes effects simulating wind, smoke, rain, fire and snow.
