ST. CHARLES, IL — St. Charles has not yet announced a new date for its canceled Fourth of July fireworks display, but Park District officials say they are planning to reschedule the event.
Meanwhile, several Chicago-area communities whose fireworks were postponed because of severe weather have since announced new dates, including Aurora and Wheaton, while others are still working with vendors and partners to determine if and when events can be held, the Daily Herald is reporting.
The fireworks had been slated to start at dusk at Langum Park on July 4, according to the city's website. On the evening of Independence Day, city officials announced the fireworks had been cancelled.
St. Charles Park District officials have said fireworks will be rescheduled at a later date. You can check the park district's website and Facebook page for more updates.
