Applications Sought For Popular St. Patty's Day Parade

Volunteers are also needed for the festive parade in St. Charles this March.

ST. CHARLES, IL -- The Downtown St. Charles Partnership is now accepting entries for the St. Patrick’s Parade, which will step off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 9. The deadline for parade entries will be Friday, February 8. The Downtown St. Charles Partnership is also in need of volunteer help from the community and is accepting volunteer applications up to the date of the parade.

Parade pacers, marshals and banner carriers are needed, and applications for that can be found here.

Thousands of people of all ages are expected to line Main Street to watch the antics of cheerful leprechauns, listen to award-winning local marching bands, watch the elaborate and colorful floats glide down the street, pay tribute to the walking units of veterans and hear the melodic strains of the Celtic pipe bands during the annual parade.

Local businesses, community groups and non-profits are encouraged to participate. Those that wish to participate must complete an Entry Form, obtain a Certificate of Insurance, sign off on the Rules and Regulations and return the documents along with the appropriate entry fee to the Downtown St. Charles Partnership office no later than Friday, February 8.

The entry fee is $275 for businesses, $150 for DSCP Members and $25 for non-profit organizations. Forms can also be e-mailed to info@downtownstcharles.org.

Businesses looking to have a sponsored element in the parade and receive recognition through marketing and promotions are encouraged to immediately contact the Downtown St. Charles Partnership. All Parade Entry, Sponsorship and Volunteer information is available on the event website.
