Applications Sought For St. Patrick's Day Parade
Planning to march in this year's parade in downtown St. Charles? You can get your application in now.
From Downtown St. Charles Partnership: The Downtown St. Charles Partnership is now accepting entries for the St. Patrick’s Parade, which will take place on Saturday, March 10 at 2:00pm on Main Street in St. Charles. The deadline for parade entries will be Friday, February 9. The Downtown St. Charles Partnership is also in need of volunteer help from the community and is accepting volunteer applications up to the date of the parade. Parade pacers, marshals and banner carriers are needed!
Local businesses, community groups, and non-profits are encouraged to participate in the parade. Those that wish to participate must complete an Entry Form, obtain a Certificate of Insurance, sign off on the Rules and Regulations, and return the documents along with the appropriate entrance fee, to the Downtown St. Charles Partnership office no later than Friday, February 9. The Entry fee is $275 for businesses, $125 for DSCP Members, and $25 for non-profit organizations. This year, some of the entertainment includes the Dundee Scottish Pipe Band, Tunes of Glory Pipe Band and an all- time favorite, The South Shore Drill Team! The parade will also include floats, school groups, pre- schools, service clubs, and more.
Businesses looking to sponsor an element in the parade and receive recognition through marketing and promotions are encouraged to immediately contact the Downtown St. Charles Partnership.
