Aquascape Ready for Grand Re-Opening in St. Charles

Ribbon cutting ceremony set for May 19. Company moving back into space after roof collapsed following 2011 blizzard.

Aquascape kicks off Water Garden Weekend and the re-opening of its improved water gardening store with an official ribbon cutting at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The international headquarters for Aquascape, the largest manufacturer and distributor of pond supplies in North America, sustained major damage to its parking garage when a portion of its 5-acre “green” roof—designed as an Illinois prairie complete with soil and native plants—caved in on Sunday, Feb. 13 in the wake of the Feb. 1, 2011 blizzard.

St. Charles mayor Don DeWitte will launch Water Garden Weekend with a ceremonial ribbon cutting for our improved water garden retail center. After the ribbon cutting there will be other festivities, which include:

  • Refreshments
  • A Tour of the water gardens
  • The grotto behind a 10-foot waterfall
  • And other family-friendly activities 

Water Garden Weekend hours are May 19th from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. and May 20th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Aquascape is located at 901 Aqualand Way across from the Dupage Airport.
