Aquascape Returns to St. Charles Office A Year After Roof Collapse

The water garden operation was forced to move temporarily after the February 2011 blizzard.

, a leader in water gardens and water gardening, has moved back into its St. Charles headquarters after a roof partially collapsed one year ago.

The company announced Tuesday that its office operations returned to the "Aqualand" location just off of Kautz Road.

The roof covering Aquascape's parking lot collapsed in February 2011 after nearly and much of the Chicago area.

"Thankfully no one was in or near the building at the time of the collapse,” said Greg Wittstock, CEO and founder of Aquascape. “Our team worked quickly to re-locate both our office and warehouse operations and we were able to minimize the disruption of business to our customers. After a year of working from a temporary location, we’re extremely grateful to be back at Aqualand.”

The company was forced to move to a new, temporary office and warehouse while the roof was repaired. Aquascape was allowed to move back into the office at the end of January, but warehouse operations have yet to return.

Aquascape is currently building an atrium and a water gardening store, which is scheduled to open on March 20.
