Attacker Charged In Aggravated Domestic, Home Invasion: Police
The 38-year-old man is accused of attacking a woman last week and then returning the next day to break into her home, police said.
ST. CHARLES, IL — A 38-year-old man who allegedly attacked a woman last week in St. Charles is accused of returning to the same woman's home the day after the attack and trying to break into the residence, police said. The first incident occurred at 7:19 p.m. on June 19 in the 1700 block of Cumberland Green Drive when Aric J. Bandur allegedly confronted the woman when she arrived home, punched her in the face and then pulled her from her vehicle. He then tried to force her into her home, according to a news release from the St. Charles Police Department.
The woman was able to get away from Bandur and ran to a neighbor's home, according to police. Bandur had fled the scene by the time authorities arrived and an arrest warrant on two counts of aggravated domestic battery was issued for Bandur.
Police were again called back to the same home at 4:04 p.m. on June 20 for a report of Bandur breaking into the woman's home. When authorities arrived, they found Bandur walking away from the home. He was immediately taken into custody on the warrant, police said.

Authorities said a neighbor who heard the woman screaming entered the home and tried to intervene. Bandur allegedly pushed the neighbor and told him to leave, according to authorities.
Bandur faces the following additional charges in connection with the Thursday incident: trespass to residence - knowing one or more persons present, a Class 4 felony; criminal damage to property, a Class 4 felony; and battery, a Class A misdemeanor.

Bandur was transported to the Kane County Jail to await a bond hearing.
