Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley will host a tutor training workshop from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, January 11, 13, 18, and 20 at the Pottawatomi Community Center in St. Charles. The workshop will be limited to six participants to allow for social distancing and masks will be required.

Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley helps adults communicate in English by matching them with trained volunteer tutors who provide lessons once each week. Tutors can choose to meet with an adult student in person or virtually.

If you know English, you can teach English to an adult who is waiting to learn. The program provides material and instruction so anyone can be a volunteer tutor. If you have one hour each week, we can fit tutoring into your schedule.
