Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley will host a free tutor training workshop from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, September 12, 14, 19, and 21 at the St. Charles Public Library.

Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley helps adults communicate in English by matching them with trained volunteer tutors who provide in-person or virtual lessons once each week at a time that is convenient.

Volunteers do not need any special qualifications. If you know English, you can teach English to someone who is eager to learn. Most of the adults who enroll want to learn practical English that will help them navigate American culture.

The program provides material and instruction so anyone can help. Once a volunteer is matched, Literacy Volunteers Fox Valley provides continuing support. Our program coordinator is a text or an email away.

To register for the workshop, visit www.lvfv.org or call/text 630-584-4428.
