Our beautiful, full sized, 78 foot recreated Viking ship was based on an ancient 1000 year old excavated ship. Hand built in Norway in 1893, our ship was sailed by a hardy crew of 12 adventurers non-stop across the entire stormy North Atlantic, to become a star attraction of the 1893 Chicago World's Columbian Exposition of 1893.
Hear its exciting story, admire its dramatic beauty, and learn the secrets of the ancient Viking ship builders. Enjoy our hands-on displays of recreated Viking tools, weapons, jewelry, equipment and period images. Enjoy browsing the selection of distinctive and affordable items in our gift ship.
Ship opens at 10 AM both Saturday and Sunday. Last tour starts at 3:45 PM. Tours by our friendly and knowledgeable guides start every 15 minutes; no reservations are needed. Still just $7 adults, $4 teens 13-17, FREE 12 and under.
