Campton Hills Man Found Guilty Of Sexually Assaulting Girl
A Kane County judge has found Jesus J. Maciel Facio guilty of predatory sexual assault and sexual assault of a child.

CAMPTON HILLS, IL — A 34-year-old man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a girl over a three-year period.
Jesus J. Maciel Facio, of the 38W block of Campton Hills Drive in St. Charles Township, waived his right to a jury trial and appeared before Judge Alice Tracy for a hearing, where he was found guilty of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, aggravated criminal sexual abuse and indecent solicitation of a child, according to a news release from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office.
Authorities say Facio sexually assaulted a girl who was under the age of 13 years old between June 2016 and June 2019.

“This defendant counted on not being held accountable for his actions by exploiting a position of trust and pressuring the victim not to tell others that he was abusing her," assistant state's attorney Tyler Cox said in a statement. "The victim remained steadfast from the day that she reported the abuse until the day she testified at trial. This successful prosecution was possible because of this courageous child and her supportive family. I am proud of the victim and her family for remaining strong throughout the process."
Facio is next expected in court on Aug. 30 for a sentencing hearing. He will be required to register for life as a sexual offender.
