Check Out This Year's 'Chair-Ity' Chairs in Downtown St. Charles
Have you noticed the nearly 50 colorful Adirondack style chairs across downtown St. Charles?

The Downtown St. Charles Partnership’s (DSCP) annual “Chair-ity” event is in full swing for summer 2017. The Partnership has received nearly 50 Adirondack style chairs from local business, residents, and non-profit organizations. The chairs have been placed at locations throughout the downtown St. Charles area, including the Municpal Building, 1st Street Plaza, and Lincoln Park.
Area residents and all visitors of St. Charles are meant to enjoy the chairs. They are all located within walking distance of one another, so that visitors can explore downtown parks and businesses as they check out the 2017 chairs.
Here is more on the annual fund-raising event from the Downtown St. Charles Partnership:

City-goers can sit in the chairs over on 1st Street every Wednesday and Friday night this summer to enjoy the free STC Live! concerts in the plaza. After that, they can walk over from first street to the Municipal Building chairs to enjoy a sunset over the Fox River. They can also enjoy a sweet treat from any of downtown’s great ice cream and dessert shops as they relax in the chairs in Lincoln Park. There are so many ways to benefit from all that downtown St.Charles has to offer this summer, and “Chair-ity” is another great chance to do so.
For those who are looking to enjoy the chairs beyond summer 2017, a number of them are up for auction at https://e.gesture.com/events/66J/. Bidding has already begun and will run through August. All proceeds will go back into downtown beautification and the highest bidders will be able to take home their favorite chairs at the end of the summer.
