Chris Madsen Trio to perform jazz standards at Norris Cultural Arts Center

St. Charles, May 6 - The Chris Madsen Trio will present a concert of jazz standards of the past 40 years plus new compositions, May 24 at 3:00 PM on the next event in the Music in the Gallery series at the Norris Cultural Arts Center, 1040 Dunham Rd., St. Charles.

Jazz saxophonist, composer, and educator Chris Madsen serves as Assistant Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Jazz Program Director at Midwest Young Artists in Highwood, Ill., and served as Coordinator of Jazz Studies at Northwestern University from 2008-2014. Madsen is an in-demand figure in the Chicago jazz world as a composer, performer, and pedagogue.
